Golf Centre
Sandy Lyle (British Open 1985 and US Masters 1988 winner) who grew up and nurtured his game here, cut the first sod of the foundations of the splendid new Golf Centre in 1993.
The centre stands on a brow between the Hawkstone and the Championship course, providing expansive views of both, as well the parkland and cliffs beyond them.
Every golfer’s need is met in this magnificent building. Here green fees can be paid, tee times reserved and lockers, buggies, trolleys and the like hired. Here can also be found locker and changing rooms, private reception rooms, and a well stocked golf shop. The first floor houses the Terrace Bar and Restaurant where a good meal or relaxing drink can be enjoyed in convivial company and those marvellous views can be enjoyed from almost every seat, thanks to extensive glazing and balconies .
